Southern Champions – South Canterbury
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Nov 7-9) South Canterbury competed in the Southern Teams Event. This event has junior teams from Southland, Southern Lakes, Otago, North Otago and South Canterbury meeting in Dunedin to play off against each other to determine the strongest Association in Southern. Teams of four boys and four girls in 10s, 12s, and 14s age groups represent their Association. Kane Newland coached the team through to become the overall champions and South Canterbury won two out of three age groups.
