TSC Junior Prize-Giving-Thursday 31 March 2016

Tennis South Canterbury will host its annual junior prize-giving this Thursday 31st March at 7.00pm to celebrate the successes in junior tennis over the 2015/16 season.  This season the junior inter-club was split into two competitions (i.e., Term 4, 2015 and Term 1, 2016) to accommodate and allow for movements within teams and across grades as players improve.

Awards will be presented to the winners and runners-up in each of the four grades: Premier; A, B and C grade, for each term competition.  Results as follows:

Winners/Runners Up

Term 4, 2015:

  • Premier Grade:  Cave P1/ Cave P2
  • A Grade: Highfield A1/ Highfield A4
  • B Grade: Waihi B1/ Waihi B2
  • C Grade (Pool 1): Highfield C1/ Waihi C1
  • C Grade (Pool 2): Highfield C3/ Waihi C2

Term 1, 2016:

  • Premier Grade: Cave P1/ Hilton-Geraldine P1
  • A Grade: Highfield A3/ Hilton-Geraldine A2
  • B Grade: Hilton-Geraldine B1/ Hilton-Geraldine B2
  • C Grade:  Highfield C2/ Wai-iti C2

The South Canterbury Junior Closed Championship winners and runner-up will be presented with their trophy’s and certificates and the SC representative players will be acknowledged for their contribution.  Tennis South Canterbury’s head coach Kane Newland will present the special awards for ‘Most Promising Junior’, ‘Fair Play’ ‘Rep Player of the Year’ and ‘Contribution to SC tennis’

The two Preen Family Scholarships will be awarded to conclude the evening with a supper to follow.
