Claremont Tennis Club Upgraded Tennis Courts

Tennis-Opening

The Claremont Tennis club recently opened their upgraded tennis courts after a big fundraising effort by the members. The original courts were laid in 1963 with 33 tonnes of hand mixed concrete and a number of cracks had developed. After investigating the different options, the club decided to go with Tiger Turf surface to be laid over top of the existing surface. In addition, the courts were rotated 90 degrees and extended 3m to give players more run back. The courts are a great asset to the community and have been well used since the upgrade.
